PayChangu allows you to actively manage escrow transactions after they have been created. This helps both parties communicate clearly, track transaction progress, and resolve issues when necessary.
With escrow management tools, you can review transaction details, chat with the other party, and open disputes if challenges arise during the transaction process.
Log in to your PayChangu dashboard
Navigate to Transfers
Click on the Escrow tab
Here, you’ll see all transactions that were created using Escrow Protection.
Find the escrow transaction you want to manage.
Each transaction will display important details such as:
Reference number
Amount
Date
Status
Recipient or sender details

Select Manage on the transaction you want to review.
Inside the management view, you’ll be able to see:
Full transaction details
Escrow status
Payment amount
Transaction reference
Activity history and updates
This gives both parties full visibility into the transaction process.
Within the escrow management page, there is a built-in chat box that allows both parties to communicate directly.
This can be used to:
Discuss delivery updates
Confirm completion of services
Share important transaction information
Resolve misunderstandings quickly
All communication remains linked to the escrow transaction for easy reference.

If resolving the issue becomes difficult, you can choose to Open a Dispute directly from the escrow management page.
This is useful when:
Goods were not delivered
Services were incomplete
There is disagreement between both parties
Communication has broken down
Once a dispute is opened, the escrow transaction remains protected while the issue is reviewed.
Once the goods or services have been delivered successfully:
Click Release Funds
After confirmation:
The escrow status will update to completed
Funds will be released to the recipient’s PayChangu balance
The recipient can then withdraw or use the funds
Encourages transparency between both parties
Keeps transaction communication organized
Helps reduce fraud and misunderstandings
Provides additional protection for buyers and sellers
